My 'fishing' option (right) is of some fishing gear on North Quay by Torquay's inner harbour. Before the building of the original fish market in Brixham, Torquay was the main fishing port for this area, nowadays only one or two trawlers and a handful of 'crabbers' and 'gillnetters' still work out of this harbour. Across the bridge on South Quay there is a little information board that documents what it was like to be a fisherman about 100-150 years ago.
Today, like the past couple of days, haven't been that productive due to dodging showers, hard to believe that a week ago we were basking in sunshine, with temperatures in the high teens Celsius and I had contemplated digging the shorts out, lol.
The final photo for today's blog is actually the first one I took today and is of a graffitied board in what used to be a tennis court that because it was hardly ever used the council decided to 'hip' it up a bit by replacing the tennis net with a couple of small goalposts and is now used most weekends by local youngsters. I was hoping for a bigger puddle for more reflection.
