10th April.

This post is a day late as it took so long editing yesterdays photos it was almost midnight by the time I'd finished and this morning I was a bit tied up.

My 'Heavenly' blip for yesterdays Wide Wednesday's challenge was a serene shot of the duckponds near Torquay seafront. Where you can sit, relax and enjoy the scenery despite two main roads into Torquay being only a few meters away. Click on the date to see it, 10th April. The shot on the left another shot (this time HDR) from a different angle.

The swans are still doing fine, Mr swan seems to be spending more time close by and assisting with the nest maintenance, pulling grass from the edge of the stream bank nearby and stacking it near the nest from where Mrs swan was tucking it into her nest. Mind you it wasn't an easy job as this cheeky thieving crow kept nicking it.
Around the duckpond most of the ducks were relaxing in the sun either in a couple groups of males or in their 'couples'. The shot below left is of one of the females, her 'fella' was nearby. A little after taking these shots a lady arrived and started feeding the birds bread, this crow certainly his fair share, mind you he may of had a nest nearby as he flew off but soon returned loaded up again then flew off again.

Now, do these photos below look like the photos of a 'killer' ?
No!! Not surprised really but mother nature can be both beautiful and cruel.
This is one of two gulls that I suspect of snatching the ducklings over the weekend.

Having failed to get a photo on Tuesday, despite going into town with the camera, I grabbed this shot as I left home.
